Delightful 'Duxford Cottage' set in gardens that change with the seasons and capture the essence of a coastal lifestyle.

Nestled amongst farming land this fully renovated cottage offers a beautiful relaxing country experience. Circa 1860 bluestone cottage is steeped in Port Elliot history. The original owner was James Harding and his wife Eliza who arrived in Australia in 1853 from Duxford, Cambridgeshire with their two children.

The cottage has a welcoming central entrance that leads to a main lounge room with an open fireplace. Leading from the lounge room are two bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchenette/dining room and modern spacious bathroom with bath. WIFI, Netfilx & Amazon are included. The cottage is tastefully styled with modern furnishings whilst keeping in with quaint olde world charm.

Duxford Cottage is the ideal choice for one or two couples looking for peace & relaxation in a country setting whilst being a perfect base to explore the beautiful south coast beaches, eateries, shopping, whale watching, bike riding & water activities. On the grounds amongst established gardens there is a lovely picnic area down next to the creek by a small bridge.

We take extra care to ensure the property is fully maintained, spotlessly clean & comfortable to provide you with a relaxing holiday.

Important Things To Note

Take note that the property lacks a complete kitchen and does not offer any cooking facilities.

The cottage is located towards the front, while the owner's house is situated at the back, granting access to both the front and side gardens.

It is important to be aware that the property is not suitable for young children.

Parking: It is available outside the house, specifically at the front, and not in the driveway.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited both indoors and outdoors. We expect full compliance from all guests.

Parties and Events: We have a strict policy that prohibits parties or events from taking place on the premises.

Quiet Hours: We observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM

Refundable Deposit: A refundable deposit is required for every booking. The amount will be specified at the time of reservation and will be returned upon satisfactory inspection of the property.

Credit Card Fee: Credit card fee applies when we processed your payment and in the event of cancellation card fees are not refundable
