Pelican Cottage is situated in a prime position and wonderful for us and our two small dogs in which to stay in while we enjoyed Goolwa and it’s surrounding areas. The furniture in the house was ample and the bed comfortable with spotless linen. We have no hesitation in recommending it as a quality holiday home and one we hope to return to one day.

This is an absolutely perfect place for a quiet getaway for two. The space is great, very clean and comfortable. The views and garden are lovely and the location was fantastic for bike riding (track was directly across the road) and walks back into the township. We really enjoyed exploring the area and returning to a glass of wine by the fire. We will definitely return!

Goolwa Pelican Cottage is a real treasure. The house felt very private (unlike most of the houses along that stretch of river that are chockablock to each other) with a great location on top of a hill looking down on the river. The garden is like a fairy garden with a little path and steps leading down to a gate if you want to walk along the river. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked great (especially needed on the day it was 43 degrees Celsius!) I think the photos of the kitchen area are old as there's actually a full-sized refrigerator and stove there now. It's also quite close to town and only about a ten-minute walk to a great coffee shop down the street.

Pelican Cottage was pretty much as described. It was clean, spacious, had a lovely outlook of the river from the deck, pretty garden, plenty of light through the large windows and a comfy bed and pillows. The location was quiet and an easy walk from the town and wharf. Our dog settled easily and fencing was adequate for him - no escape route!! Would recommend and we would be happy to return.

Pelican Cottage is in a fabulous position right across the road from the river with great riverside parks and walks, views from the main sun filled living area, great ambience, property is fully enclosed so was safe my small dog. Highly recommend.

Clean, neat little cottage across from a marina. Nice linens, a well stocked kitchen for the size and great windows. Just a bit over 1km outside town and relatively quiet, even over the holiday weekend we were there. Unwind Holidays was responsive and took care of questions, requests and gave great local recommendations. A nice place to be in Goolwa!

Cost yet simple with a view to unwind

Our stay at your simple yet cozy retreat was just as I’d hoped for. Still quite cold during September, the fire was gorgeously warm and when not being used, the reverse aircon made the inside climate very comfortable. My daughters loved the games available and the stream with waterfall made for a daily activity. The bustling waterfront with many locals walking daily was enticing to join in on. A hiccup with the hot water running out from an empty gas bottle was quickly rectified by the prompt support of management. Perhaps the only negative was an early rising from the noisy birds on galvanized roof. Overall we loved our stay and look forward to staying again! Thank you from myself and my three daughters, Kate
